Members of Bharatiya Janatha Party Yuva Morcha staged a protest in front of Gandhi statue, after a 35-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was hacked to death by two motorcycle-borne youth in Bengaluru on Sunday morning.
Former minister S A Ramdas said that after Congress government came to power, there has been continuous and planned attack on RSS leaders and Hindu activists. “Rudresh, an RSS leader, was killed in broad day light in the state capital and the police department is clueless about the murderers. There is complete breakdown of law and order in the state. A thorough investigation must be done and culprits must be punished,” he urged.
It may be recalled that Rudresh, mandal president of the Shivajinagar unit of the RSS and secretary of the BJP Shivajinagar, was returning on his bike after participating in a ‘patha sanchalana’ (route march) in the vicinity of RBANMS Grounds when the incident happened.
BJP city president Dr Manjunath, BJP leader H V Rajeev, for deputy mayor Mahadevamma and others were present.
