Plea to hand over DySP Ganapathi case to CBI

Mysuru, August 31:- “If the state government doesn’t hand over the suicide case of DySP Ganapathy to the CBI in the next 15 days, we will resort to  indefinite protests and hunger strike,” said BJP Yuvamorcha president Gokul Govardhan at a press meet here on Wednesday.

“It has been proved that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister’s advisor Kempaiah have tried their best to safeguard minister K J George, police officials A M Prasad and Pranav Mohanty. Siddaramaiah should immediately answer whether Ganapathy’s death was a suicide or a murder,” Govardhan demanded.

“According to the forensic science laboratory report, 52 messages, 2,500 photos, 199 files have been erased from Ganapathy’s cellphone. Documents have been completely erased from two pen drives. No information has been revealed about finding two bullets at the suicide spot. Though police officials use canvas belt, Ganapathy had committed suicide using leather belt. This gives room for doubts about Ganapathy’s death,” the BJP leader alleged.

B Sampath, B Somashekar, K Devaraj and others were present. (MR/KMR).
