Breast cancer awareness talk held at Teresian College

Mysuru, August 9:- Teresian College and Department of Physical Education and Commerce had jointly organised Breast Cancer awareness talk on Tuesday.

Dr Chithra Katakol, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Clear Medi Radiant Hospital, Vijayanagar, was the resource person.

Dr Katakol spoke on what is cancer? What causes cancer? What is Breast Cancer? The percentage of breast cancer in India, what are the risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and awareness, A discussion between the students and doctors was also held.

Dr Sr Sajitha, Director, Teresian Institution, Mysore, Sitha D, HoD Commerce Department, Teresian College; Anthony Moses, Physical Education Director, Teresian College;  Achutha K, Assistant Manager, Marketing, Clear Medi Radiant Hospital, staffs, students’ council office-bearers and 950 students were present. Muskhan, a third BCom student, welcomed the gathering. (MR)
