Mysuru, September 15:- The world-famous Brindavan Gardens at the premises of KRS Reservoir, which was closed for the public for the eight months, will reopen from tomorrow (September 16).
Executive engineer Raju of the KRS division of the Cauvery Niravari Nigama Limited, said, “As per the latest order from the state government, the Brindavan Gardens will be thrown open to the public. The thermal screening will be held at the entrance before the visitors are allowed. Face masks, social distancing and sanitisation are a must. The government order will be followed strictly.”
Raju added, “The visitors need to sanitise their hands before entering the Brindavan Gardens. All the facilities will be provided for the visitors. The regular income to CNNL from KRS had stopped ever since the Covid-19 lockdown was declared in the month of March. Without any income, the maintenance work was facing financial issues. We are hoping more and more visitors will come to KRS Reservoir in the days to come.” (MR/KS)
