BSP seeks action against police over assault

Mysuru, October 21:- “Police have assaulted the secretary of Mysuru city wing of BSP, Anantha Nagu for no reason. Inspector Sunil Kumar and constable Shivakumar beat him up. Action should be taken against them immediately,” said BSP chief secretary K S Prabhuswamy at a press meet here on Saturday.

“Constable Shivakumar had called two youths from Ananth Nagu’s colony for investigation. Nagu went to the police station and asked for the reason behind the investigation. Inspector Sunil Kumar  abused Nagu and the party workers. They attacked all the three of them,” he alleged.

“Though we have complained about it to the Police Commissioner,  no action has been taken. If justice isn’t served to the victims, we will stage a protest in front of Chief Minister’s residence,” Nagu warned.
