BSY had agreed to be CM for two years: BJP MP V Srinivas Prasad

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, July 24:- Kollegal MLA N Mahesh called on Chamarajanagar Member of Parliament V Srinivas Prasad here on Saturday (july 24) giving room to rumour mills.

Talking to reporters on the occasion, Prasad said, “On change of guard in the state, pontiffs of various mutts should not talk of politics. The Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa himself has asked everyone not to complicate the issue. He could come to power because of the 17 rebel MLAs from Congress and Janata Dal (Secular).”

Prasad said, “It was agreed upon by Yediyurappa and the party high command two years back that he would relinquish office after two years and it was in this connection with this pact that he went to Delhi.”

The Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha member said, “After we were given a raw deal in the Congress, we switched over to BJP. My job is to do organisational work and not interfere in party affairs.”

When asked if Mahesh is joining the BJP, he said, “he had come to discuss developmental works in the constituency. It is his personal lookout if he wants to join us and he is free to do anything.”

On his part, Mahesh said no colour should be added to his visit to Prasad’s house. They need a strong person to replace Yedidyurappa if at all there is any change.” (MR/KS)
