Burka-clad women make good with sarees

Mysuru, June 12:- Two burka-clad unidentified women, who visited the Mysuru Silk shop at the Mysuru Silk factory premises in the city, made good with valuable silk sarees here last week.

Two women, who came to the shop on June 7, saw many sarees before leaving. They seemed to have diverted the attention of the employees of the shop at Ashokapuram before stealing two silk sarees worth Rs 49,000.

The incident came to limelight when the staff went through the CCTV footages as two sarees were missing from the list. Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered a complaint. (MR/KS).
