Writer Prof Ramegowda lauded the autobiography Prof C P Siddhashrama ‘Naanallada Naanu’ as a creative work.
He was speaking after releasing the book ‘Naanallada Naanu’ and a poetry collection ‘Arivina Orathe’ organised by Samskruthi Book Paradise and Department of Kuvempu Kannada Studies at B M Shree Hall.
Addressing the gathering he said that autobiography which is a written account of the life of a person written by that person but here the work has transformed itself into a creative piece of art. In his autobiography, Prof Siddashrama has detailed his struggle to get education and how he managed to surmount the hardships in a very imaginative manner.
Prof Ramegowda lauded the book as an autobiography of a committed man. The Department of Kuvempu Kannada studies has done commendable work by bringing out the autobiography as it will help common readers develop a comprehensive understanding of the writer. The book is a peak of creativity wherein the expertise in writing and research has blended finely to produce a great creative piece.
Further he said that Siddarashrama was a creative writer with immense talent, dedication and expertise. A soul full of love, compassion and a man who never compromised for selfish gain. A follower of Buddha he has done good for the society by portraying the realities of the society and its various ills.
Assistant Prof Department of Kuvempu Kannada Studies Dr S D Shashikala, Director Dr Preethi Shubha Chandra, Publisher Subramanya were present.
