Cabinet expansion after Assembly session: CM Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, June 1:- “Congress will face the 2018 Assembly elections under my leadership. Cabinet expansion will be done after the Assembly session,” said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here on Thursday. He was speaking to media persons at his residence in the city.

“High command has decided that one man will have one post in the party. Dr Parameshwar has not spoken about his resignation. D K Shivakumar is not sad that he has not been appointed as KPCC president. Everyone agrees to what the high command says. Our government has faced the drought situation better than any other government. BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa has no knowledge of drought operations. Let Yeddyurappa question Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding farmers’ loan waiver,” he added.

He hailed the achievement of Nandini, a Kannadiga who topped the UPSC examination. He made it clear that the government will not hold special pooja for rains. “It doesn’t help us.”

In-charge Vice Chancellor of University of Mysore, Prof Dayananda Mane also visited the Chief Minister’s residence and held discussions. The chief minister is said to have spoken to the VC about the spat he has had with UoM Registrar Prof R Rajanna.
