Capsicum Cheese Balls


  • 1 potato, boiled
  • 1/2 cup cheese (preferably mozzarella)
  • 1/2 green capsicum
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon corn-flour
  • 2 tablespoon maida
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup bread crumbs (you can use fresh bread crumbs too)


  1. To prepare capsicum cheese balls, get prep with all the ingredients including boiling the potatoes and mashing them.
  2. In a bowl, add the grated cheese, boiled and mashed potato, green capsicum, coriander leaves, red chilli flakes, crushed oregano, little pepper, garlic paste, Corn-flour and salt and mix everything well.
  3. Apply little oil on your palms and start making little balls from the mixture.
  4. In a bowl, add the all-purpose flour and water and mix them till you get a pouring consistency batter. On a kitchen platform, Put some plain flour and bread Crumbs.
  5. Roll the cheese balls in the plain flour, dip them in the plain flour batter and then roll them in the bread crumbs.
  6. Deep fry capsicum cheese balls in batches in a kadai
  7. Till they turn golden brown and well-cooked from within.
  8. Serve them with dips like Tzatziki or low fat vegetable dip with herbs for a great appetizer recipe.
