Carcass of male tiger found in Kabini River backwaters

Mysuru, August 1:- The carcass of a male tiger was found at Kabini River backwaters in HD Kote in the district on Wednesday morning.

According to Forest Department sources, the carcass of the male tiger was found near Karapura village of Antharasanthe range in Nagarhole Tiger Reserve.

“The carcass of the tiger was found floating in the backwaters of Kabini River on Wednesday morning. The villagers immediately alerted the forest officials who rushed to the spot and fished out the carcass of tiger.

The forest officials are yet to reveal the cause of death. Forest staffers suspected that the death of the tiger may have been to a territorial fight. -(KK)
