Cauvery Kriya Samithi to hold a rally and protest on Wednesday

Cauvery kriya samithi, consisting of various pro Kannada organisations held a meeting at Shankar mutt, on Tuesday evening. As there is section 144 in Mysuru, people are not supposed to be in group and hold meetings. So the Kriya Samithi members held meeting at Shankar Mutt.

Mohan Kumar Gowda of Kavalu Pade presided over the meeting. Presidents of all pro Kannada organisations attended the meeting. Pa Mallesh was appointed as the president of Cauvery Kriya Samithi.

Cauvery Kriya Samithi discussed their next steps in order to get justice in Cauvery dispute. They have decided to hold a rally from Maharaja’s College to Gandhi square. Students of Maharaja’s and Yuvaraja’s College and members of all the pro Kannada organisations will take part in the rally.

“Protest should not be for few hours, but it should go on till Karnataka gets justice in Cauvery row. The protest will go on for the whole day, until justice is served,” said Pa Mallesh.

They urged the government to sanction Rs 10 lakh as compensation for Kumar, who died falling off the building in Bengaluru, during the riots on Monday.

Pa Mallesh, president of Cauveri Kriya Samithi, K Shivaram, Raghuram, Revanna, SBM Manju, Rajakeeya Ravi and leaders of various pro Kannada organisations were present.
