CAVA students protest demanding permanent dean

Mysuru, December 31:- Students of Chamarajendra Government College of Visual Arts (CAVA) in the city staged a protest on Monday at the college premises, demanding a permanent dean and basic amenities.

The students locked the administration block of the college and staged a silent protest. They urged the department to provide permanent dean for the college and provide basic amenities. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) B R Poornima is working as the in-charge dean of the college.

The protesters said that the electrical connection has been cut off as the electricity bill of the college has not been paid. They said that the students are struggling due to lack of basic amenities. Police convinced the students to take back their protests. (MR/KS)
