“CCTV has become an essential need of the day. CCTVs help u to prevent crime and theft and also provide information regarding the crime. Unfortunately, criminal activities are increasing in the society and CCTV cameras help the police to identify and punish the criminals,” said Commissioner of Police, B Dayananda.
He was speaking after inaugurating the CCTV cameras at the Mysuru Press Club, Agrahara.
“Andhra and Telangana governments have made it mandatory for the shops to install the CCTVs. Karnataka government is also thinking on implementing the same,” he opined.
