Mysuru, December 19:- Former minister Pallam Raju took a jibe at Narendra Modi-led government on Rafale fighter jets deal and accused the government of submitting a wrong affidavit to the Supreme Court.
“Another investigation should be held into Rafale deal. Congress will not rest until then. On what basis the contract of manufacturing fighter flights was given to private company Reliance which has no experience? Is it the national security that Prime Minister always speaks of?” Raju questioned.
“Why have they kept Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) away from the manufacturing of fighter fights? During the UPA government each Rafale aircraft was available at Rs 526 crore and now the price has gone up to Rs 1,620 crore. Instead of 126 flights, now they are manufacturing only 36 flights. If we ask for information, the government doesn’t give any answer and say it is a question of national security,” he alleged.
“If the government has not done any corruption in this issue, let it submit all the details to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). The case of Rafale flight has been dismissed. But BJP he is misleading the public saying that it has received a clean chit. Congress will not allow the Modi government to misuse the public money. A kickback of Rs 3,000 crore was received by the government,” he alleged.
“BJP is trying to mislead the Supreme Court with a false affidavit. The credit of misleading the Supreme Court goes to BJP for the first time in the history,” he said.
