Centre’s move to privatise banks criticised

Prime News, National, Banking, Finance, Mysuru, December 16:- In view of the all-India protest against privatisation of nationalised banks on Friday (December 17), Mysuru District Bank Employees United Forum staged a demonstration opposite State Bank of India’s regional office at T K Layout here on Thursday (December 16).

Talking on the occasion, the protesters said, “The Centre is out to privatise nationalised banks which will pave for a lot of problems. So far, all the nationalised banks have safeguarded the interests of the depositors. By privatisation, the Centre is playing into the hands of capitalists.”

The protest by bank employees will have a cascading effect on banking transactions today and tomorrow (December 17).
