Mysuru, April 22:- “Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency has registered highest voting percentage this time. I will win the election for sure,” said Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition candidate CH Vijayashankar. “Rural areas registered more votes than urban areas. It has given me an upper hand,” he said at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Saturday.
“The coalition partners worked together. Congress will get more votes in Hunsur, Periyapattana, Chamundeshwari and Narasimha Raja Constituencies. Voting percentage was less in Chamaraja and Krishnaraja, where Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a vote bank,” he added.
“There were many aspirants in Congress and JD(S). But after the announcement of candidature, there has been no confusion. Those who are in public life should lead a dignified life,” he added.
“Voluntary voting was seen in the constituency. Democracy is becoming strong. Police officials have done a great job. This is my 6th Lok Sabha elections. I know the pulse of rural voters. I will certainly give good news on May 23,” he added.
Former chairman of Mysuru Paints and Varnish Limited H A Venkatesh said that there should not be any rumours regarding the indelible ink as it undergoes various tests in laboratories before it is released in the market.
