Chain snatchers flee with two gold chains again

Mysuru, May 31:- Chain snatchers have struck again in the city and snatched two gold chains within a span of 15 minutes at Saraswathipuram and Jayalaxmipuram Police Station limits, in the city on Wednesday.

Lohitha Nanjappa, a resident of Jayalakshmipuram,  was standing near Raghavendra Mutt on Wednesday morning. Around 10:15 am, two chain snatchers on a Pulsar motorcycle snatched a golden chain of 37 gram from her neck.

Police Inspector Ravindra and ACP Umesh Shet visited the spot and gathered information.

In another incident, at around 10:20 am, manager of Sudha Cooperative Bank Parimala was walking by Kuvempu School in the city, was the victim. Chain snatchers tried to snatch a gold chain from her neck and managed to flee with a 12 gram chain. The culprits couldn’t snatch another chain of 30 gram from her.

Inspector of Saraswatipuram Police Station, Poovaiah and Sub-Inspector Mohan visited the spot and are investigating.
