Chain-snatching incidents continue unabated

Mysuru, May 3:- Chain-snatching incidents that shook the city on Thursday morning continued till late night. Chain-snatchers who struck at five different places in the morning continued to haunt the city in the night as well.

Two incidents were reported at Vidyaranyapuram and on Mahadevapura Road. In the first incident, two bike-borne miscreants snatched a 45-gram gold chain from one Leela near Bindu Bakery in Vidyaranyapuram at 9.30 pm. In the second case, Geetha, who was walking on Mahadevapura Road, lost her 30-gram gold chain in a similar manner.

Seven chain-snatching cases in less than 15 hours in a single day have shocked people who are scared to come out of their houses.  Those women who are forced to come out of houses for some urgent work will obviously come under the radar of these chain-snatchers. The police department is under tremendous pressure from the public to nab the culprits immediately. (MR/KS).
