Mysuru, August 2:- The Chamundeshwari Vardhanthi Mahotsava which marks the birthday of Goddess Chamundeshwari will be held with religious fervour on the occasion of third Ashada Shukravara atop Chamundi Hill in the city on Friday.
According to Sri Chamundeshwari Temple Authority, like every year the Chamundeshwari Vardhanthi Mahotsava will be held tomorrow (August 3). The devotees may visit the temple between 8 am and10 pm.
“The KSRTC buses will ferry the pilgrims visiting the Chamundi Hill from 6:30 am till 8 pm,” said the executive Director of Chamundeshwari Temple Authority in a press release.
Various religious rituals will begin from 5 am at the temple. At 5:30 am Mahanyasa Poorvaka Rudrabhishekhar, Panchamrutha Abhishekha will be performed followed by Sahasranamarchane and Mangalarathi. The Pallaki Utsava and Mantapotsava will be held 10:25 am.
Thousands of devotees from Mysuru and neighboring places are expected to throng Chamundi Hill temple as the Vardhanthi Mahotsava is coinciding with the third Ashada Shukravara. -KK
