Changing Syndicate members of universities is the rule: Minister GT Devegowda

Mysuru, July 26:- “Changing the Syndicate members of the universities when the governments change is nothing new,” said Higher Education Minister G T Devegowda.

He was speaking at a cultural event at Maharani College on Wednesday.

“Syndicate members have been dropped from all the universities across the state. Members of the previous Syndicates are Congress members. This time, members of both Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress will be inducted into Syndicates. Media is not barred from entering Vidhana Soudha. The Chief Minister has not told anything like that,” he added.

He assured of taking action regarding free KSRTC bus passes to students in the next two days. (MR/KS).
