Chaos at meeting, committee says sorry

Mysuru, January 1:- Lingayata Samskrutika Samiti apologised to seer Chidananda after pandemonium during the inauguration of the committee held at Nataraja auditorium on Sunday. The samiti said action will be taken against miscreants.

Secretary of the committee, Mahadevappa apologised to the seer at a press meet on Monday and alleged that the unwanted incidents at the event were pre-planned.

“Pancha peethas are trying to use the term Veerashaiva along with Lingayatha for their survival. Separate Lingayata religion is a welcome change but the move of Veerashaiva mahasabha is not right,” he said.
