Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement’s palliative care is organising a charitable musical event ‘Swaraanubhuthi 2016’ on November 12 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Kalamandir featuring Mysuru’s own Raghu Dixit.
SVYM palliative care invites all to come and enjoy the programme as well as help them to serve more number of people in need of palliative care.
SVYM works in all the districts of Karnataka and touches the life of 1.5 million people. Palliative care programme is one of SVYM’s unique health care initiatives started in the year 2011. Since 2011, SVYM Palliative Care has cared and supported more than 500 lives. In the year 2015-16 Palliative care has served 178 deserving individuals covering an area of 25 km radius in and around Mysuru. The team makes need-based home visits for providing medicines, pain management, dressing of wound and psycho-social support. This is a programme which is funded ‘only’ by the generous contributions made by responsible and caring individuals.
Donations made in kind like walkers, wheel chairs, water beds, adult diapers, air beds, medicines, medical testing kits are also accepted. One can also refer patients who are in need of palliative care.
