In an attempt to encourage special children to celebrate Ganesha festival, corporator M V Ramprasad distributed cheques worth Rs 1,000 to children at Arunodaya Special Children School, recently.
As many as 30 students at the school received the cheques.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramprasad said, “Majority of the special children who study at this institute are from poor background and it is obvious that these children aspire to be part of the celebrations. These children are not only special but precious too. To make these kids happy and enjoy the fervor of the festival, we distributed cheques to the children and their family.”
Social Worker Jogi Manju, Vikram, Sandeep, Manjunath and others were present.
