A Mysore-based IT company Qwinix Technologies came up with an idea to turn this one extra day, (February 29) into an inspiration that would last for a lifetime. The young employees at Qwinix decided to host a day for young children by inviting them to the office to let them experience the IT world first hand.
With an idea to inspire the children with their profession, and provide them a peek into the everyday work life, the Qwinix team spent the one extra day the year gave them by organising a workshop.
“We believe inspiration is a fuel that never runs out,” said one of the Qwinix volunteers with hopes of seeing these young children choose their own future when they grow up.
The children were also given lessons in the art of quilling and both the volunteers and children together made paper artwork to express creativity and enjoy.
The children in return danced and sand and won the hearts of the Qwinix team.
Qwinix Technologies, spearheaded by Mysuru’s very own Darshan Puttannaiah, has been actively participating in new and innovative ways to contribute meaningfully to a better world.
Earlier, it had hosted a coding competition for making Mysuru better with the help of technology that attracted many coders. Believing in a happiness model, the young dynamic company is always seeking to find greater purpose to their work, according to a press release.
