Chinnara Mela, a monthlong summer camp organised by Rangayana is scheduled to be held from April 10 to May 10, said In-charge director of Rangayana Dayanand.
He was addressing media persons at a press meet held on Friday in the city.
Dayanand said “The 19th Chinnara Mela commences from April 10 and children who are above seven years and below fourteen years may register for Chinnara Mela which is among the popular summer camps conducted in the state. The 19th Chinnara Mela ‘Samanate’ will be held from 10 am to 5 pm that provides a great hands-on experience on theatre art and various other art forms and provide the participants to think and act creatively. The summer camp will be getting hands-on experience in art, painting and handicrafts during the camp.”
“The applications will be issued at Rangayana from April 3 from 10 am. A fee of Rs 50 per application will be charged and will be issued till April 6. Only 300 applications will be issued and Rs 2,000 has been fixed as the fee for Chinnara Mela camp,” he added.
The camp will be inaugurated by National Bravery award winner Sia Bamansa Khode. Kalaprasasti awardee international yoga artiste Khushi will preside over the function.
A special magic show by Suma Rajkumar, a face-to-face interaction with C V Nagaraj on ‘Food and health; singing show by Vasu Dixit; storytelling by Dr H S Ramachandregowda and various other programmes have been lined up.
Deputy Director of Rangayana Nirmala Matapathi, Mime Ramesh and others were present.
