Christmas tree celebration and senior citizens’ day

The Christmas season is all about sharing and the All India Anglo-Indian Association, Mysuru branch did just that this season. 

The AIAIA visited St. Don Bosco home for boys at Kuvempunagar, in the city recently and distributed Christmas gifts and goodies to the inmates.  The AIAIA Mysuru branch held their annual Christmas tree and Senior citizens’ day at the Infant Jesus Shrine, R S Naidunagar on December 18.  The day commenced with a thanksgiving mass.  Young achiever, Stephanie D’Vaz was felicitated on the occasion.  The AIAIA had invited the inmates of Ferrando children’s home, Srirampura to participate in the Christmas tree celebrations.  Sports events were organized for the children and the winners received prizes.  Sport events were also held for the senior Citizens of the community and prizes were given.

About 35 senior citizens of the community were felicitated and Christmas gifts were given.  Finally, Santa Claus arrived and distributed Christmas gifts to all the children.
