Cinema should not become scapegoat for politics: Ramesh Aravind

Mysuru, June 6:- ” ‘Kaala’ movie release of Rajinikanth is an emotional issue. I am not an authorised person to speak on it, but the issue of Cauvery River is attached to ‘Kaala’ release,” said multilingual actor-filmmaker and television presenter Ramesh Aravind.

He was speaking to the media persons in the city on Tuesday.

“We know only one angle of the story. It has been a dispute spanning centuries. Many have expressed their opinions on it. It is not the right time for me to speak on Cauvery water issue. If there is disease, the expert doctor should treat it. Such issues can’t be solved in an emotional way. It has already seen a century. The dispute should not be dragged further. There should be an agreement between both the sides. Cinema should not be made a scapegoat for politics. I am not supporting actor Prakash Rai’s statement. At the same time, we can’t deny his opinion as well,” he added. (KS, NGB)
