Cinerama – 2019 national short movie festival on April 24

Mysuru, April 20:- “Visual Communication Department of Amrita Vidyapeetham here is organising a national level short movie festival, ‘Cinerama – 2019’ at the college premises at Bogadi on April 24,” said the head of the department, Ramya K Prasad at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Saturday.

“Fifty-four short movies from all over India have been shortlisted.  Selected 15 short movies will be screened. Director B Suresh will inaugurate the event at 9:30 am. He will have an interaction with the students. Kannad actress Aindrita Ray will distribute awards,” she added

“The event is being organised to give encouragement to young talents who have done well in the last three years. The Best film will get a cash reward up to Rs 20,000,” she said.

“Photography competition is also being organised as part of the event. More than 60 photographs have come for the competition. Three awards will be given in this section. Cam Era, a photography and videography workshop will also be held,” said Ramya Prasad.
