Mysuru, October 14:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staged a protest against Urban Development Minister Roshan Baig for allegedly using expletives against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded his ouster from Siddaramaiah cabinet.
Hundreds of BJP city unit workers staged a protest in front of Gandhi Square here on Saturday and urged the state government to immediately drop him from the cabinet.
On Friday, a video surfaced in the social media and in electronic media which showed Baig allegedly making derogatory remarks on PM Modi.
Following this, the enraged BJP workers said that Minister Baig has insulted not only the Prime Minister, but the entire country. The agitators demanded Baig to apologise in public and urged him to resign from his post.
The agitators said, “Baig was dropped from the cabinet after his brother was arrested in connection with the fake stamp paper scam and now again he has used foul language against the Prime Minister. The state government must immediately sack him,” they added.
BJP city youth wing president Gokul Govardhan, BJP city president Dr B H Manjunath, Sampath, Rajesh, Somaraja Urs, Mahesh Raj Urs, Somesh, Somashekhar and others were present.
