City celebrates scrapping of special status to J&K

Mysuru, August 6:- Pro-Hindu organisations of the city celebrated the scrapping of article 370 and 35(A) in Jammu and Kashmir by distributing sweets and bursting crackers in front of the statue of Field Marshall KM Cariappa at Metropol circle in the city on Monday.

They shouted slogans hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

“The founder of Jan Sangh Shyam Prasad Mookerjee argued against two constitutions within the country. He died in a mysterious way following his arrest. We have to remember his contribution today. Even Dr BR Ambedkar opposed the implementation of article 370 and 35 (A). It was hindering the development of the nation and was favouring the terror groups. The Prime Minister and Home Minister should be appreciated for their effort,” said Sandesh Pawar.

Anand B, Mahesh Raje Urs, T Ramesh, C Murali, Nandakumar, Paramesh Gowda, Harish Gowda, Lohith and others were present. (MR/KS).
