Mysuru sees dip in temperature, thanks to rain

Mysuru, August 3:- The heritage city Mysuru, which is usually warm, experienced cool weather on Sunday (August 2), thanks to continuous rains that lashed the city. The rain accompanied by a cool breeze led to pleasant weather.

Mysuru received around 2 cm rain. Kadakola received 1.6 cm, while Srirampura received 1 cm rain. The city did not report any untoward rain-related incidents.

Maraluru village in Nanjangud taluk received 3.5 cm rain, Chikkayanna Chatra and Ramapura received 3 cm rain each. Suttur (2 cm), Mallupura, Tayuru and Tagaduru reported 1.5 cm rain. Hulimavu reported 2.5 cm rain.

Antharasanthe, Kanchammalli and Hebbalaguppe received 1.5 cm rain. Karimuddanahalli in Dharmapura hobli in Hunsur taluk received 12.5 cm rain. Saligrama, Haradanahalli and Lakshmipura in KR Nagar taluk received 10.5 cm rain. Periyapatna’s Haranahalli, Kanagalu, Doddakamaravalli, Chandagalu Kaval received 12.5 cm rain. Kuppegala Benakanahalli in T Narasipura received 2 cm rain.

Back in Mysuru, the Devaraja Market area near Dufferin Clock Tower (Chikka Gadiyara) was heavily water-logged. Fruit sellers were forced to look for alternatives to do the business. (MR/KS)
