CJM Court orders seizure of MUDA cars

Mysuru, January 29:- In connection with the non-payment of compensation for the acquired land, the CJM Court has ordered the seizure of two cars belonging to Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). A notice has been slapped on the cars pertaining to the case.

In 1997, MUDA had acquired one acre and 26 guntas of land belonging to one Chinnaswamy. He had gone to the court in 2010 for additional compensation. As per the court order, MUDA is supposed to pay Rs 35.25 lakh to Chinnaswamy. A notice had been served to MUDA regarding the compensation but as there was no response, seizure of vehicles was ordered.

Reacting to the issue, MUDA Commissioner D B Natesh said the additional compensation has already been paid. “We are going to approach the court on the seizure of our vehicles.” (MR, Inputs: Agencies)
