Mysuru, April 21:- “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has introduced several programmes to uplift pourakarmikas, by cancelling tender-based works and making them permanent employees,” said Corporator R Shiva here on Saturday.
In his response to the statement by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which said the state government has done nothing for pourakarmikas, Shiva said, “The state government has introduced various schemes including gruha bhagya, aroga bhagya, development boards, breakfast, 20% reservation in local bodies, free site and houses. The Siddaramaiah governance has been good for the pourakarmikas,” the corporator said. (MR/KMR).
