hief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Grand Mercure, Mysuru, a 5-star category hotel, a unit of Brigade Enterprises Limited and Accor Hotels, on Thursday on New Sayyaji Rao Road, near Highway Circle in the city. He wished all success for the new hotel.
Speaking on the occasion, Industries and Tourism Minister R V Deshpande, the guest of honour, said that the tourism sector in Karnataka and especially in Mysuru has huge potential to generate more jobs for the youth. More entrepreneurs should invest in tourism industry, he added.
The minister also urged Francois Gautier, French Consul General for Karnataka, to promote Karnataka in France to invite more French investments in the state. The relationship between France and India is very strong, he added. Minister Deshpande lauded the Brigade Group for having chosen Mysuru to launch the luxury hotel.
Francois Gautier, the special invitee, assured that more French entrepreneurs would be apprised to invest in Karnataka as the state has rich natural resources and skilled labour.
