Mysuru, May 20:- “If people tell their problems to you, listen to them attentively. If they give a request letter to you, read them carefully,” instructed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to the officials.
He was speaking to the officials before meeting the public at Government Guest House in the city on Saturday.
“Many villages in the district do not have a graveyard. Government land has to be allotted for the graveyards. Officials should explain the public whether their work can be done. Delayed work is no less than corruption. Don’t make them run around to get their work done for years,” he added.
“Many requests from the people regarding revenue department work come to the officials. Such applications should be handled quickly,” the chief minister said.
District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader, MLA Vasu, Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah, Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, district and taluk officials were present.
