Mysuru, October 26:- “Even though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is from Mysuru, he is not at all concerned about the farmers. He is governing the way he wants to do, similar to that of Tughluq ,” said BJP state vice president V Srinivas Prasad.
“Farmers have to be made self reliant, both mentally and economically strong. Farmers are the backbone of India, but we have failed to protect the farmers. Yeddyurappa has been fighting against slavery and to protect the interests of the farmers. He has been giving the utmost prominence to farmers also presented a farmer budget. But Siddaramaiah who speaks of farmers has done nothing for them. People of the state are keenly watching this and they will teach a lesson to Siddaramaiah in 2018 Assembly polls. District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa can’t achieve anything without the support of the chief minister. He can’t even win Zilla Panchayat election on his own. After the arrival of World Trade Organisation, open market is available in the world. Researches should be done more in the field of agriculture. In China, farmers grow 30 quintals of paddy per acre of land, whereas we grow only 10 quintals. The state government has to conduct researches on this regard,” he added.
BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, Lok Sabha member Pratap Simha, former minister S A Ramadas, MP Sriramulu, BJP city president Dr B H Manjunath, former MLC Thontadarya and others were present.
