Rakesh Siddaramaiah, eldest son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is being treated at the Antwerp University Hospital in Brussels, is said to be stable and is responding well to the treatment.
Siddaramaiah, along with principal secretary L K Ateeq and parliamentary secretary Govindraj reached Brussels on Thursday, while his wife Parvathi is expected join him soon.
Siddramaiah was briefed by a team of doctors. “The condition of Rakesh is stable and he is gradually responding to treatment,” said sources.
Rakesh was admitted to the hospital three days back after he complained of severe pain. He had left the city a week ago, soon after his birthday celebration for a tour of Belgium and France along with his friends. He is said to have complications in the pancreas and liver.
Dr Yatheendra Siddaramaiah, the younger son of the Chief Minister, along with two other doctors from the city, went to Brussels two days back.
