Coalition government in coma; neglecting education sector: MLC Arun Shahapur

Mysuru, June 2:- “The coalition government of JD(S) and Congress is in a coma. They have completely neglected the education sector in the state,” alleged MLC Arun Shahapur at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Saturday.

“BJP government had given various programmes for the welfare of education sector. But the previous Congress government and the present coalition government have neglected the education sector. Though there is a rule to give salary to teachers before 5th of every month, it is only on paper but not implemented. No counseling has been done for the transfer of teachers. The Government has clearly neglected aided institutions,” he alleged.

“We support the government decision to waive off the loans of farmers. But we can’t agree if the government tries to cut funds of other sectors. JD(S) and Congress have failed to protect the welfare of teachers. This time they have to vote for Niranjan Murthy of the BJP. Several applications on new PU colleges have been accepted after the lifting of the code of conduct. It Should be investigated thoroughly. CM H D Kumaraswamy should order an inquiry,” he added.

Retired principal K P Ananda Murthy, Nagaraj, Mahadev, J C Rajanna were present. (MR/KMR).
