Collective efforts will result in ending cow slaughter: Seer

Mysuru, October 10:- “Demon Mahishasura was killed when the souls of Gods merged together. In the same way, the signature campaign by the public will result in ban on cow slaughter,” said seer Raghaveshwara of Ramachandrapura mutt here on Tuesday.

He was speaking at Go Parivara Margadarshana Sabha held at Vishwesha Theertha hall of Vijaya Vittala PU College here in the city. The meeting discussed on how to save cows.

“We have to do the work of getting the public’s voice heard to the rulers. Provide me with your signature, we will do the rest.  Volunteers should collect signatures from all the houses,” he said.

“As bricks were sent from all villages for the construction of Rama Mandir, signatures should come from all the households,” he said.

“The kings of Mysuru contributed immensely to protect the Indian cattle breeds. But our politicians are unaware of this. Mysuru kings introduced the greatest breed from India, Amritha Mahal and provided 12000 acres of land for the development of the breed,” the seer added.

Panduranga Maharaj, Dr Bhanuprakash Pundit and others were present. (MR/SH).
