Colourful procession marks Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti in Mysuru

Mysuru, February 19:- A procession to mark Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti was organised by the district administration and Chatrapathy Shivaji Jayanthyothsava Committee from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Mysuru Palace north gate here on Wednesday.

The procession was held from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to Kalamandir. A person sitting on a horse with the attire of Chhatrapati Shivaji was the major attraction of the procession. Children too wore costumes of Shivaji.

Former ministers AH Vishwanath, CH Vijayashankar, president of the Jayanthyothsava Committee Gopal Rao Jadhav, Nagendra Avatade, MJ Garge, Venkoba Rao Kiradanth and others were present. (MR/KS)
