The curtains were drawn on the 43-day-long Mysuru shopping festival 2016 on Sunday at the open air theatre, Manasagangotri, Mysuru.
The valedictory function of the first-ever shopping festival in Mysuru, successfully managed to entertain the crowd. Big names from the entertainment industry as well as politicians and IAS officers were present at the valedictory function.
One of the main attractions of the evening, Kannada superstar Sudeep was honoured on behalf of the shopping festival. Speaking on the occasion, Sudeep congratulated the event organisers for conducting a successful event. He also sang one of his famous songs to the public for which he was showered with thunderous applause.
Former minister S A Ramdas said that the relationship between the consumer and a seller has become better. It is a win-win situation for both the parties, he said. He also asked the public not to buy any Pakistani and Chinese products.
Minister Tanveer Sait spoke on the occasion and said that the economic condition of Mysuru would increase, thanks to the shopping festival.
After the formal programme, famous Bollywood playback singer Kunal Ganjawala gave a live concert to the audiences. The youngsters went berserk over the western music which made almost everyone dance.
