ComicX ’16 sees over 50,000 footfalls in three days

ComicX ’16 expo, a unique and first-ever comical expo in the city held between August 5 and 7 received an overwhelming response from Mysureans with nearly 50,000 footfalls.

The three-day exhibition by Manyata Creations – a design studio and en event management firm – a unit of Raj Abhijna Property Developers Pvt Ltd, in association with Hotel Quorum, was inaugurated by titular king of Mysuru royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and Trishika Kumari Wadiyar.

The main attraction of this expo was the mascots of Chhota Bheem and his gang of eight friends. There was a live performance by these mascots and also there was a Dholakpur setup. Children enjoyed every moment with team Chhota Bheem by clicking photos and selfies and dancing with all characters.


“We always wanted to do something unique for children and so we planned ComicX’16. Also as Chhota Bheem is a very popular programme, we wanted to bring them to the city and called it “Dholakpur to Mysuru”, said Abhijna Rajiv, proprietor, Manyata creations and MD, Raj Abhijna Property Developers Pvt Ltd.

“By bringing the comic characters to the city, we have conveyed a message that such events are not the prerogative of tier-I cities but they can be successfully organised to get good response in tier-II cities too,” she added.

The event was supported by Hotel Quorum, Akshaya Benz, Toonz Animation, Palace Honda, Aniframes, Eduseek College of Animation and Party Mania.
