Commerce graduates have a lot of opportunities at global level. They should grab such opportunities and build their career as well as their personalities,” said University of Mysore (UoM) post-graduation commerce HoD, Dr B Nagaraju here on Wednesday.
He was addressing freshers meet of first year B.Com students at Basudeva Somani College on Vishwamanava Double Road. Speaking about the evolution of civilisation and how money became the centre of business, he said that students should cultivate the habit of saving money and focus more on studies in order to reach greater heights.
H N Nagaraju, member of the college governing committee, asked the students to visit the college library more frequently. Library is the hub of all the knowledge. “Students should spend more time in the library. The college is producing students fit for the corporate world. There is a lot of difference in the present-day syllabus for today’s degree compared to what it was five years ago,” he said.
College Principal Dr M N Manohar, board member M Puttaswamy and others were present on the occasion.
