Competitions on history and life of freedom struggle icons held at GSSSIET


In connection with celebrations AZAADI-70 suggested by Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, GSSSIET for Women organised various competitions on history and life of icons of freedom struggle, recently.

Students actively participated in various cultural events including debate, essay, drawing, painting and patriotic songs. In the debate competition, the students shared their views on topics “Is Patriotism in independent India limited to defence solders?” and “Has India attained independence?”. In singing competition, students sang the patriotic songs that awakened feeling towards our Mother land. With an attempt to explore and nourish the talents of students, essay competition was conducted on the topics “Role of Women in the war of Indian Independence” and “The JallianwalaBagh Massacre”. Drawing, painting competition was also conducted on the theme “The great Indian Freedom Movements”. Students brought out their ideas about the spirits of freedom struggle through their paintings.

The competitions were coordinated by Pradeep N, Assistant Professor, and department of mathematics and cultural coordinator of the college.
