Mysuru, August 16:- Post-graduate students of the University of Mysore (UoM) have filed a complaint against members of research scholars’ association for not attending the protest organised at the university to condemn the burning of a copy of the constitution at Janthar Manthar in New Delhi.
The association had organised a protest against the act at UoM and forcefully asked the post-graduate students to leave the class to attend the protest. They allegedly assaulted the students who refused to attend the protest. They said to have allegedly assaulted one Harshavardhan Raj of the English department. The video has gone viral on social media and the act has been condemned.
Later, students who were assaulted filed a complaint at Jayalakshmipuram police station and urged the police to take action against research scholars association. (MR/KS).
