Political News, State, (Bidar), August 13:-Congress president Rahul Gandhi on his arrival in Bidar on Monday to participate in Congress party’s “Janadwani” programme was felicitated with a turban on the occasion.
The Congress organised the Janadwani programme at Nehru Grounds in Bidar in view of the coming 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on various issues.
Rafale fighter jets deal is the biggest scam the nation has ever seen, alleged Rahul Gandhi and further added that UPA’s Rafale deal was better than NDA’s. “The NDA deal favoured one business person Anil Ambani and the deal was snatched from Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) which would have created thousands of jobs to our youth.”
He accused PM Modi of handing over Rafale deal to Anil Ambani’s firm which has no expertise in the manufacturing of defence products.
The Congress president also accused PM Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman of lying over Rafale deal secret clause with France which prohibits from disclosing the price of the Rafale jets. PM “Modi’s four year term did not help the youth of the nation. The Prime Minister in 2014 gave false promises of creating one crore jobs per year and it never materialised.”
Taking a swipe at PM Modi over his ‘Choukidar’ (guardian) remark during 2014 election campaigns, Gandhi said that he (PM) is not a ‘Choukidar’ but a ‘Bhagidar’ (partner) in corruption.

On a frontal attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA government at Centre, Rahul said the Modi government has failed on all fronts including employment generation and farmer issues.
Rahul also targets the hasty implementation of Goods and Services Tax or Gabbar Singh tax and assures that if Congress comes to power in Centre, tax structure will be revamped.
Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, MP and senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, MLA Eshwar Khandre and others were present.
