Cong govt laid foundation for social and economic independence: Dr BJ Vijay Kumar

Mysuru, October 30:- In 68 years of our independence, the schemes introduced by the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government has ensured economic and social independence for the people of Karnataka, said District Congress president Dr B J Vijay Kumar.

He was speaking after launching ‘Mane Manege Congress’ booklet which lists details of development works undertaken by the state government, to residents at Alanahalli village in Periyapattana taluk on Sunday.

“State government has ensured food, education, shelter and other programmes. We have made amendment to the Land Reforms Bill 1965; which many governments failed. The government has provided land to unprivileged and backward communities. Government is also planning to introduce reservation in education and government appointments. Karnataka is a role model in implementing the ideas of the Indian Constitution. Government has taken measures to boost agriculture sector in four years. People should vote for Congress to ensure development even in the next term,” he said.
