Mysuru, July 21:- The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson M Lakshman on Tuesday (July 21) flayed Karnataka High Court order with regard to Kurubarahalli Survey numbers 4 and Alanahalli Survey numbers 39 and 41, located at the foot of Chamundi Hill.
The High Court recently classified Kurubarahalli Survey numbers 4 and Alanahalli Survey number 39 and 41 as free from Kharab B land.
Addressing the media persons at Indira Bhavan on JLB Road in the city, he opined that the state high court should not have intervened in this matter. During the next week the two-judge bench of the High Court is scheduled to take up this matter. In one petition Rajamatha Pramoda Devi Wadiyar is the petitioner and all other petitions mention the Maharaja as the petitioner,” he said.
“The BJP government never supported the classification of Kurubarahalli Survey number 4 as Kharab B land. The letter produced by the Revenue Minister R Ashoka is not genuine,” he added. The BJP leaders were lying for publicity and misleading the people of Mysuru, he said.
The Congress spokesman questioned the move of BJP government in approaching the High Court after consulting the Revenue Department on this issue. The Congress government had taken a cabinet decision on March 3, 2018 to exempt the land from Kharab B classification after bringing the same to the notice of the High Court and further said that the BJP’s stand is not clear.
After the Siddaramaiah government informed the high court in March 2018, the file hasn’t moved an inch,” alleged Lakshman.
City Congress president R Murhty, Congress leaders Manjula Manasa, Chandrashekar and others were present. (NAV, KS)
