Cong novel way of protesting against new farm laws

Mysuru, December 17:- The women’s wing of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has taken up a novel way of protesting against the amended agri laws by the Centre.

With the slogan ‘Mahila Congress Nadige, Annadhatara Balige,’ the Congress began its protest at Hunsur taluk here on Thursday (December 17). Women’s wing president Dr Pushpa B Amarnath went to the fields and joined hands with the women folks in their day-to-day work.

Congress workers joined women farmers in the field, cooked food and shared it with them. Later, they spoke to them and discussed amended farm laws. Some of the farmers, women and labourers were felicitated on the occasion.

Congress is planning to take up the initiative in all the district centres in the state. (MR/KS)
